Yes. Garage Sky works with licensed freight forwarders to arrange vessel booking and coordinate shipping on the buyer's behalf. Available shipping options and estimated timelines are shared during the inquiry stage. Final freight costs depend on the destination port.
Garage Sky accepts Telegraphic Transfer (T/T bank wire) only. Full payment is required before any vehicle is acquired at auction or through direct purchase. Bank details are provided in the formal contract. Credit cards and instalment payments are not accepted.
Garage Sky sources a wide range of vehicles — SUVs, sedans, vans, and pickups — from the Japanese domestic market. Frequently available models include Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Alphard, Toyota HiLux, and Lexus. Submit a specific model request and we will advise on availability.
Import duties, taxes, and customs clearance at the destination are entirely the buyer's responsibility. Regulations vary by country. Garage Sky provides all necessary export documentation to support customs clearance, but buyers should consult a local licensed clearing agent.
Marine cargo insurance is not automatically included in pricing. Buyers are strongly encouraged to arrange insurance for the vehicle during ocean transit. Guidance on arranging coverage can be provided upon request.
No. Garage Sky supplies right-hand drive vehicles as-is from Japan. LHD conversion is not offered. Buyers should confirm RHD vehicles are legally permitted in their destination country before placing an order.
From payment confirmation to vessel departure, the typical lead time is 2–4 weeks — covering auction sourcing (1–2 weeks), export documentation and deregistration (approx. 1 week), and port handling. Ocean transit adds a further 1–4 weeks depending on your destination: roughly 1–2 weeks to New Zealand or Australia, 2–3 weeks to East Africa (Mombasa), and 3–4 weeks to South Asia (Karachi, Colombo). Total door-to-port time is typically 3–8 weeks. Exact schedules depend on vessel rotations and may vary.
If a bid is unsuccessful, Garage Sky will immediately work with the buyer to identify a suitable alternative. If no suitable alternative is agreed upon after reasonable efforts, all funds received are returned to the buyer in full.
Total cost includes: vehicle price + sourcing fee (quoted in USD); international ocean freight; marine insurance (buyer's arrangement); export documentation fees; import duties and taxes; and local registration/compliance fees. A full itemised breakdown is provided at the quotation stage.

A draft Bill of Lading (B/L) is shared with the buyer for review before the original is released. The original B/L, along with the MLIT Export Certificate, Commercial Invoice, and auction inspection sheet, is sent to the buyer once the vessel has departed Japanese port. Buyers using Letter of Credit arrangements should advise us at the inquiry stage.
